There are abundant ways of enjoying the activities in Tokyo. Whether you fancy climbing Mount Takao, capturing the view from the Tokyo Tower or a boat trip around Tokyo Bay, it is just a matter of choice. If Tokyo features in your bucket list, you will be spoiled for choice once you reach there! Let’s take a look at the most fancied and loved activities in this great Capital of Japan:

Mount Takoa

For more than 1,200 years, the Japanese have been making the pilgrimage to Mount Takao. On a clear day, the 599m summit provides views of Mount Fuji and Tokyo, and the less energetic can take a chairlift or cable car halfway up the six hiking trails. Takao is still believed to be a significant religious site. Therefore, don’t be surprised if you visit there and find yourself sharing a path with the ascetic Buddhists. The best time to go there is in the month of March!

Tokyo Tower

Poor ancient Tokyo Tower. It had its antenna bent in the 2011 earthquake and has been destroyed numerous times by Godzilla. However, as a vantage point for some of best sights of Tokyo, its future is certain – for now. Situated in Shiba Park, the 333m building, modelled on the Eiffel Tower but painted white and orange has two observation decks – at 250m and 150m for those with a head for heights!

Yakatabune Boat Trip

Yakatabune which are literally roof boats, are meant to resemble traditional Japanese homes, with their tatami mats, long, low tables and plentiful supplies of tempura and sashimi. Numerous companies run yakatabune as leisure boats in Tokyo Bay for people who like to do their socialising or partying at sea. During the summer, a yakatabune tour is one of the top ways to view the firework festivals. The illuminated Rainbow suspension bridge and the night-time sights of the island of Odaiba are also impressive!

Cycling in Yoyogi Park

Tokyo is believed to be one of the greatest cities in the world to discover by bicycle. With its size, you could cycle for days and still only discover the surface of Tokyo. The question is, where to begin? The Tokyo Bay zone is the favourite for the people who live there. However, for a more private ride, Yoyogi Park, a massive expanse of greenery is hard to beat!

Kamakura

If budget or time rules out a long trip to the tranquillity of the far north or the temples of Kyoto, the best choice for a small break from Tokyo is Kamakura. The old capital is less than an hour to drive to the city! Stroll around Kamakura’s natural and cultural attractions: The Great Buddha at Kotokuin Temple, Engakuji Temple and a walk along Yuigahama beach where you get to a wonderful view of Mount Fuji.

These are the best outdoor and loved activities that you will find in Tokyo if you are visiting there any time soon. However, there are also other interesting activities that you may like. You can have an insight of it at Kitty Bingo through its huge collection of movie and adventure themed slot games. By sliding through this section, you will find many stimulating games that may interest you! One of the game which might help you discover the culture of Japan is Super Graphics Super Lucky slots, which is themed on Japanese manga!
